Story

The patterns and colours in the Chateaux Collection were inspired by an eclectic range of artifacts and places: ceramics and tiles from ancient Persia and Morocco, kelim rugs from Turkey, tapestries from French castles and pottery from Andalusia.The combination of a rustic tile base and reactive glazes produces glossy tiles that have noticeably textured surfaces. Weave these patterns together to make a beautifully rich and textured feature - a dazzlingly simple way to add character and style to a wall.

Technical Attributes

Copper not suitable for wet areas :
Due to the copper based glaze used to obtain the above colours, these tiles will be stained by prolonged contact with water, cleaning products or other mild acidic solutions. Always wipe dry immediately after washing. To minimise this, wash with clean water only and immediately wipe dry. These tiles are recommended for use in dry areas only.

May be subject to crazing :
Highly glazed ceramic tiles may craze with time, and no guarantee can be given against this occurrence. This is an inherent part of our hand finished tiles and adds to their rustic nature.

Sealing crazed and crackle tiles :
All crazed and crackle glazed tiles and finishing pieces must be impregnated before and after grouting on initial installation. They also need to be impregnated after three months and then again a year after installation. Please see the latest brochure and Fixing Guide for important information and the latest recommendations.
